—July 22, 2024— NOVA Honorary Driver Vladimiros Tziortzis accepted an exclusive interview with EuroNASCAR. Vladimiros Tziortzis successfully transitioned from F3 and F4 racing to the EuroNASCAR Championship. This is also the first time he publicly shared his feelings, mental journey and success experience in the EuroNASCAR competition.

• From F3 and F4 racing to EuroNASCAR

When asked how he got into the EuroNASCAR Championship, Vladimiros Tziortzis recalled his experience during the pandemic in 2019. “At that time, most athletes, including racing drivers, had to make changes in their careers. I found the EuroNASCAR recruitment test online, applied and was approved. Then I flew to France, and although it was raining heavily during the test, I was eventually approved by the championship. Since then, I have represented Cyprus in the EuroNASCAR Championship and have also achieved many gratifying results and podium opportunities. My dream is to one day represent my country in NASCAR competitions in the United States.”

• EuroNASCAR: Tough competition

Vladimiros Tziortzis talked about the intensity of the competition in an exclusive interview, “The championship is very intense. All drivers are very fast, and we are in a tense battle from the first lap to the last lap. This is what the audience wants to see and what we want to present as drivers. I hope that in the future (EuroNASCAR) can maintain the current state or even become more intense.”

• Challenges and victories coexist

Looking back at the beginning of his entry into EuroNASCAR, Vladimiros Tziortzis admitted that the transition from F4 to F3 racing and then to EuroNASCAR was difficult. “I had to adjust my driving style, but at the same time I proved to everyone that I could achieve good results, wins, and stand on the podium. And the most important thing is that we are improving every year.”

• Pre-match preparation

Vladimiros Tziortzis shared his rigorous pre-match preparations before match weeks. “Physical preparation is crucial. I do cardio, strength training and yoga six times a week, which helps me a lot. I also do regular mental conditioning training with my team and follow a specific diet plan to stay in top shape and ready for match week.”

• Hard times and achievements

The semi-final in Zolder, Belgium was the most difficult moment for Vladimiros Tziortzis, who suffered a broken hand after a collision with a car. “I was a strong contender for the championship, but I had only three weeks to recover after the operation. Despite this, I still finished third in the final in Croatia.”

In addition, the humorous Vladimiros Tziortzis also shared his funny story of opening champagne on the podium. “I didn’t know how to open champagne on the podium before, but after many practices with the team, now I can open them easily.”
